My name is Sasha Q (born Oleksandra Stepanenko), and I’m an artist from Kyiv, Ukraine, currently based in Toronto, Canada.

Graduate of Mykhailo Boichuk Kyiv State Academy of Decorative-Applied Arts and Design. In February 2022, I was forced to flee my home, studio, and body of work due to the Russian invasion - a rupture that profoundly shaped my creative path.

My art is a meditative exploration of consciousness, nostalgia, and transformation, where deeply personal experience meets the metaphysical. I examine where the mysterious nature of consciousness and illusion intersect in my metamorphic colour theory-based pieces, reflecting both the historical shifts of my homeland and the broader transition into a digital age worldwide.
